Aladdin the Musical - A West End Production @ Sunway Lagoon

Sunway Lagoon will be bringing another West End Production to our shores! As you all know, the story is about Aladdin, a street rat, fighting Jaafar, and winning the heart of the beautiful Princess Jasmine with the help of Genie :)

I am guessing that it will be directed and choreographed by the same guys that worked on Peter Pan the Muscial AND Magical Musicals. This is the information from the website about the production.

"Aladdin The Musical tells the favourite tale of a boy's magical adventure from street rat to Prince, when he is discovered to be 'a diamond in the rough' by Jafar, the evil aide to the bubbly and lovable Sultan. With the help of a magic lamp and a jovial 'rapping' Genie, Aladdin wrestles against the odds to win the heart of Princess Jasmine while he ingeniously uses good to triumph over evil.

This extravagant West End production at the Amphitheatre @ Sunway Lagoon will add a modern, musical twist to its stage play. Integrating contemporary pop music with the classic storyline, Aladdin The Musical is a production that all walks of life will enjoy.

Audiences can expect to see familiar characters such as Aladdin, Princess Jasmine, The Sultan, Jafar, Slave of the Ring and of course The Genie of the Lamp himself. The six principal characters will be played by talents who hail from London's famous West End. They will be joined by an international ensemble cast of dancers, fire eaters and stilt-walkers."

NICE!! I am looking forward to watching this production :) The previous one, Magical Musicals, was really a huge improvement from Peter Pan. I truly enjoyed it. I bet everyone did.

Had a long break from last Saturday till last Thursday :) Went back to work on Friday and am on 'holiday' again (weekends = holiday^^)...

Work on Friday was mad... rushing to catch up on my work... by 9am, my table was barely visible... my desktop too! Thank goodness that by lunch time, most of it was cleared... Took back a bit of work and just finished them~

So what have I been up to? Yes, I'm still actively looking for another job. So far, no news yet *Cross fingers* Went to MTV World Stage (so-so this year) , went for David Archuleta's concert (it was FREE!), outings with cousins and friends, Korean Party, AND a trip to Singapore last weekend!

Now am clearing up my comp and backing up my files.... it's taking forever~~~

Kinda sad to know that there won't be anymore Harry Potter films to catch. I remember I didn't start reading the book until the 1st show came out. Everyone was talking about how awesome the book was and how much scenes they left out from the boook........ I just had to read the book to see what I was missing... hehe.. Really glad I did because the book was superb! I mean, it even moved me to tears when Sirius Black died... Soppy person, I know...

Anyways, I finally got to watch Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 last night! It was so-so. Nothing extraordinary. It didn't keep me wanting for more. I still think that the 1st and the 4th movies were the best! For this installment, it was all about finding the last 2 horcruxes and then defeating Voldermort. I think they made it too simple and direct. 'Find the horcrux, run here and there. oh there it is! Destroy it!! Tadaaa.... Voldermort is weak, time to kill him!' --END OF STORY-- Nothing much. Well, I'm sure there was more stuff for the producers to elaborate on. I don't quite remember because it's been a few years since the book came out. They should have split it into a three part movie! Hahaha...

That's my own opinion anyways. Others said it was really awesome, some said it was not good, I said it's OK. Kind of expected as the previous ones were so-so as well (except my favourites, first and the fourth show^^). Oh, they showed the characters after 19 years and they all looked older except for Hermione. She looked the same. Ginny looked like an ahjumma (sorry, no offence), Harry looked older (because of the facial hair), and Ron looked well a bit older and a little more scruffier than usual.

The highlight of this show? hmmmm.... I'll have to say when Neville pulled out the Gryffindor sword from the sorting hat and Harry jumps back 'to life' and killed Nagini. Oooo... My favourite part of the show would be when Professor McGonagall summoned the Hogwarts Guards and the other professors casted tons of protection charms over the school. That was nice~~ Another favourite would be when the Death Eaters were trying to weaken the protection charms.... ONE more good scene would be when Neville was standing on the bridge and he started taunting the Death Eaters on the other side of the Charm. Hahaha. When the charm was finally broken, he ran for his life! LOL.

Did I mention that Tonks was only in the show when she was dead? She was laying beside Professor Lupin. lol.

내게 거짓말을 해봐 aka 'Lie to Me' is AWESOME! I can't stop watching it! The only reason I'm blogging about it is because, I've watched all the episodes that I've downloaded :( Boo hoo... Only downloaded 8 episodes so far... Plus, they haven't finished subbing the show yet.......

It really is very very good! I was left wanting for more just after watching ONE episode...
Since I haven't watched everything yet, there wouldn't be any spoilers :)

The show is about a government civil servant (Culture division) Gong Ah Joong and a Chaebol (conglomerate)'s son; Hyun Ki Joon. Ki Jun is the president (more like CEO) of World Hotel (his aunt is the president). The main story i(so far) is Ah Joong and Ki Joon are pretending to be married to each other. Ah Joong bumped into So Ran, her old 'friend' in a salon. 'Friend' because she pretended to be her friend and dated Jae-bum; Ah Joong's first love back in college, BEHIND HER BACK! Ah Joong was crushed and never kept in touch with them for 3 years. It turned out that So Ran married Jae Bum.

Well, you sorta get the picture now. So Ran, who thinks that she is better than everyone, said to her husband,'She's Ah Joong. How can she get married? Not anyone can get married'. Ah Joong, furious, bluntly lied that she was married too! Rumours started flying, and her friends all started making rumours and somehow Ah Joong became Ki Joon's 'wife'!

The story gets quite interesting from there on..... I really can't stand So Ran's attitude. Sometimes I feel like slapping her! lol. She's a backstabber, sly and such a showoff. Ugggghhhh! The writer and the actress really did a good job! Hahaha...

Everything goes well until Yoon Jo who is Ki Joon's ex-fiancee and his brother's first love returns from France. Oh oh! Marie-Anne from Misuda cameo-ed in this show, obviously as the Yoon Jo's French friend. Hyun Sang Hee is Ki Joon's younger brother. He too returned to Korea after 3 years of disappearance. He ran away from Korea after he found out that his brother was engaged to Yoon Jo. Confusing? Yes, everyone is linked one way or another. Oh, Sang Hee is also linked to Ah Joong. Watch the show to find out how! It's a nice show eventhough the ending is quite predictable :)

A Magical night at Magical Musicals Gala Premiere

It was one magical musical indeed! Thanks to allMalaysia.info and Sunway Lagoon, I was given a pair of tickets for the gala premier as well :) Thanks to Diese for collecting my tickets! I left work so late and the traffic was so heavy!

The queue was never ending! It stretched from Sunway Lagoon's entrance all the way to Pyramid 2's entrance (J. CO)! We only managed to enter Sunway Lagoon after 8pm.

As mentioned in my previous post, this musical is about 6 budding actors who are trying to make it big in New York. The 6 main characters are Danny(played by Stephen Weller) and Megan (played by Stevie Tate Baeur); Josh (played by Gareth Heesom) and Amber (LJ Neilson); Ryan (played by Neil Couperthwaite) and Stephanie (played by Amanda Salmon).

The show was split into two acts; Act 1 introduces the main characters which takes place in Times Square, New York. Megan and Danny are a couple from Seattle and they are desperate to leave their hometown and work in New York. Amber and Josh are a young couple who are very much in love. Stephanie is an actress from Baltimore and is attracted to shy guy, Ryan. Act 2 takes place 5 years later with the girls starring in Dreamgirls in Times Square, Megan and Danny on their honeymoon, Stephanie getting proposed to by Ryan.

We were all super excited to watch the 2nd half of the show! The first half too as we only saw them in plain clothes, no makeup, no costumes, and no fancy lightings or pyro effects. hahaha.

After that, they sang a few songs from GLEE! Stephen 'hinted' earlier that they 'might' be doing 'Don't Stop Believin' which they DID perform! It was sooooo awesome! We were a little disappointed during the 'Umbrella' performance because the lights on the umbrellas weren't working :( After the show, we asked, David what happened to the umbrellas and he said ,'It was made in CHINA!'. LOL. He mentioned that they'll revamp the umbrellas with UV paint~ That'll be cool!

They ended the show with another favourite medley of 'Gimme! Gimme! Gimme!', 'Mamma Mia!', 'Dancing Queen', and 'Money, Money, Money'. Everyone was singing along with the cast. It was super duper fun-tastic! They sang 'Proud Mary' for their encore. I had so much fun and the cast really did an amazing job! I can't wait for another production like this.

If it wasn't for this show, I would have never met these cool bunch of people; Diese, Shemah, Lily, Camie, Serge, Merryn, and Christy! You guys made that night so much more memorable. Thanks to Shemah's little angels, we got an excuse to go backstage to meet the cast after the show. Hahahaha. If it weren't for them, I don't think I would have the courage to walk so 'selamba saja'. Only managed to meet Amanda, Chris, and David though.

So, if you are a musical fan or you just wanna have a good time, go and watch this musicals! Satisfaction guaranteed! In my opinion, go for the red zone (or VIP) as the cast interacts with the audiences in that zone which makes it much more fun!

Magical Musicals - Behind the Scenes

Just got back from the 'Behind the Scenes' not too long ago and I'm really impressed with what they have done this time! Plenty of improvements as compared to the last production (Peter Pan the Musical).

We were given the opportunity to visit backstage and their air-conditioned studio! Hahaha. Watched the rehearsal and it was AWESOME! Girls, grab your cameras, there's a number where the boys dance topless! lol. Hahaha. I'm not sure whether they're really going to be topless on that day itself :)

We only saw the first half of the show and I'm wanting more! The show is about 6 actors who want to make it big in New York~

They opened with a number from Queen, 'Don't Stop Me Now'. Not very familiar with the song but the performance was very energetic! Then they sang 'Baltimore', 'Welcome to the 60s', and 'You Can't Stop the Beat' from Hairspray. It was so nice! I love it so very much~ Hairspray is one of my favourite musicals. They also sang 'America' from West Side Story.

Next up was GREASE SONGS!! I ♥ Grease :) I think it's one of the first musicals I watched. They sang 'You're the one that I want' and 'Grease Lightning'. I remember we performed to 'Grease Lightning' for the Pyramid Ice Skating's production 'Festival of Jesters'. Fun times~ Kinda makes me miss performing.

They sang 'Holding Out For a Hero' from Footloose~ This is where the guys appeared topless. lol. A lot of lifts and spins in this number. The ceiling at the rehearsal studio was pretty low but they did it nonetheless. Well, they HAVE to sing FOOTLOOSE, of course right? I loved this song too~

After that, they sang 'Wicked', 'Defying Gravity', Shakalaka Baby', and 'Jaiho'. The girls came out with those belly dancing belts. A little Bollywood touch to the production~ This was the last song they performed for the first half.

My take on this is, it's AWESOME! I'm a HUGE HUGE HUGE fan of musicals and this really is a MUST SEE! Lots of props and pyrotechnical effetcs (lol, yes, you probably already know that I'm a sucker for pyro effects >.<). Not only that, according to Chris, the director, this production will also throw in a fire eaters and Bhangra drummers. They'll also use a flame machine for 'Holding out for a Hero' and they'll have some wire stunts for 'Defying Gravity'. How cool is that? For the finale, they'll have a pyrotechnic waterfall.

Why would you want to watch this production when there are other musicals out there?
Well, this wonderful production will consist of 35 songs all performed by casts from UK. The casts have experience performing at West End shows. One of them was the lead actress of Mamma Mia! The cast may be from UK but the stage was all built here in Malaysia by Malaysians. LJ who was played 'Wendy' from Peter Pan the Musical is also in this musical. Plus plus, fans of Glee and Rihanna raise your hands up! They'll perform songs from Glee and also Umbrella~ They will actually be using umbrellas with lights!

time really has been flying by real quick! Soon, I'll be receiving my 3rd paycheck! That means I've bene working for 3 months! Working here has really taken its toll on my poor poor back. Sitting upright too long with my hand on the desk holding the mouse. Bad posture. seriously.

whew~ I can't believe that I've lasted so long. It's long to me because I knew zilch abt purchasing.

oh well, now that I've shifted to a new office, my boss can see everything that I do! No place to hide anymore...

Gang blinds Indian woman, accused of witchcraft

Eleven people stormed into a house in a central Indian village and assaulted a woman whom they accused of witchcraft, blinding her and her husband by stabbing them in the eyes with scissors, police said on Saturday.

The incident took place on Friday in the Raipur district of Chhattisgarh state. Police later arrested 10 suspects.

A family in Khaira village had been having money troubles and health problems, which they blamed on a 45-year-old woman, according to S.S. Baghel, a local police officer.

"The accused blamed the alleged witchcraft power of the lady for their problems and raided her house on Friday morning," Baghel told Reuters by phone.

"First they beat her up and then a few of them held her hands and legs and then inserted scissors into both her eyes."

When her husband tried to intervene, the group turned on him and inserted scissors into his eyes as well, Baghel added.

A doctor at a local hospital said the couple would likely never be able to see again.

The brutalities related to witchcraft, mainly against women, are not new for the interior illiterate pockets of Chhattisgarh, where woman accused of witchcraft are often killed or paraded them naked.

Chhattisgarh state passed the Witchcraft (Prevention) Act in 2005 to crack down on offenders.

But the law has hardly made an impact in tribal areas, where atrocities against women accused of witchcraft still flourish and the majority of cases go unreported.

Call it luck!

Hehe... I was super lucky! Last Thursday night, received a surprising call from an unknown number... Picked it up, line was so bad that I couldn't hear anything... Lucky the person called again 1 minute later,"Hello, we're calling from 8tv NiteLive......................" My instant reaction was like,'OMG! *gotta stay calm and not scream*"... She told me that I was the grand prize winner of the 2AM Showcase ticket giveaway!!! I was like,'Wow! Wow! Thank you soooooo much!'. I couldn't stop thanking her... My mom was saying, "Why u nvr scream? Just go wow wow only one?" It wouldn't be nice to scream to her on the phone, right?

lol. I was soooooooooooooooooooooo happy because I didn't buy my tickets YET and was contemplating on whether to go or not because the venue was all the way in Ampang Park... A good 40-50 minutes away from my house if there isn't any traffic...

So, my sis didn't want to go with me, my friends were busy... sighs... I got my mom to come along because she likes their songs^^ Hahaha...

Next day, bogged with so much work, and had to leave my office sharp at 5.30 which didn't go as planned.... left work at like 5.50 and rushed all the way down to Sri Pentas... Their office hours were from 10am-7pm and it was super jam... Reached the place with 10 minutes to spare!

Magical Musicals - A West End Production

I'd love to go for the show! I am a diehard fan of Broadway shows!! I think they're awesome!! I love watching musicals~~ Well, the only actual musical I've been to was FAME and it was super duper! It's too expensive here in Malaysia, IMO...

Well, Sunway Lagoon will be having a 90 minute production called"Magical Musicals" and there will be songs from Moulin Rouge!, Mamma Mia!, Dreamgirls, Fame, Saturday Night Fever, Grease, Footloose, We Will Rock You, West Side Story, Hairspray and even the latest television musical phenomenon, Glee! How awesome is that??

I think this would be something similar to Stars of the Musicals production back in 2001 but much more exciting!! Hey, anything with Glee is awesome! lol...

The Story

The show opens in Times Square, New York – the very heart of the Broadway Theatre District. Auditions are being held for a new show. Six budding actors leave the auditions and are all in New York for One Night Only.

Megan and Danny are a thirty-something couple from Seattle. Their relationship has reached a turning point and they are desperate to leave their hometown and work in the Big Apple.

Amber & Josh are a young couple very much in love. Although Amber is a 'ditzy' blonde, Josh worships her.

Then we have Stephanie, an actress from Baltimore who finds herself attracted to the shy Ryan.

Their story starts with an energetic opening (Don't Stop Me Now) as Stephanie explains she is from Baltimore and loves the musicals of the Sixties. When alone, Danny and Megan express their past love for each other in Tonight, joined by the others in a modern rendition of America. Josh and Amber tell the others they met whilst working on the musical Grease giving their rendition of You're the One That I Want, and Summer Nights.

The others soon notice that Ryan likes Stephanie but she explains that she is Holding Out For A Hero in her life. Uptight, Ryan decides to loosen up with Footloose. After which, Megan and Danny feel wicked and sing As Long As You're Mine and Defying Gravity. The girls then tease the boys with their version of Shakalaka Baby.

Act II opens 5 years later and the girls are starring together in Times Square as Dreamgirls. Megan and Danny on celebrating their honeymoon and as they are waiting for the girls, the boys reminisce about when they all met 5 years earlier. Danny and Josh can't believe that Ryan hasn't proposed to Amber after all this time. He says they have both been busy working apart. They all leave for the Night Club as Danny sings Go The Distance.

Once at the club, the boys lead in Night Fever whilst Stephanie taunts Ryan with If I Can't Have You. Josh urges Ryan to 'pop the question' but Ryan loses his nerve and leaves Stephanie to her own thoughts in Reflections. When they all return, Amber asks the DJ to play The Elephant Love Medley which finally gives Ryan the courage to ask Stephanie to marry him.

The concert finale sees all six stars singing their way through a medley of Glee, with a special finale covering everything from Bohemian Rhapsody to Mamma Mia!

Wow, my last entry was in April... not bad... Been super busy with work... I started bringing home a bit of work secretly so that I don't have to stay back so late... I've been leaving my office at 7pm lately... horrible but I have no choice...

ANYWAYS, last week was fun! Went for SkyTrex! It was cool... I only liked the flying-fox parts, didn't enjoy the plank crossing, net crossing, and the LADDER climbing!! lol...

Since my cousin had already booked the place for us, might as well just go :) Glad we did, it was quite fun~

SO, a week earlier, I found a new hobby :) Expensive little hobby but satisfying and very interesting... hahha...

Lol... yesterday was GREAT FUN! Chatted with Sora for like 2 hours through Whatsapp and we came up with this crazy idea!! Since she misses Malaysian food and I miss Korean food, we decided to send each other some through mail! Hahaha... Crazy but it's feasible... though I can't send her her favourite roti canai... don't think it's possible to send frozen food or if it was feasible, it'll be so expensive... prolly have to ship with some dry ice or something... hahaha...

Hmmm... I know that she loves 'Heong peng' and she said that she cuddles the packet to sleep... lol... her mom loves it too! other than that, what else can I send?? Should come up with a list of dry food that's yummy!

Woot~ but first, gotta check out how is it to send food using EMS... hahaha....

This week is almost over!! Time really does fly!!! I'm surprised... hahaha... next thing you know, it'll be May already!!!

Oh, I received my very first salary earlier this week... Geez... not getting a single cent for OT... sighs... it's not my fault that the customers place orders so late right??? AND I've gotta process the order on that day itself unless stated otherwise... more sighs...

My cousin who studied something similar to me, is aiming for a job with Stylo!!! SO COOL!! He's totally deviating from what we were meant to do... deviated sounds so strong... hahhaha... well, I might do that too later... hohoho... I'm still drafting my letter and stuff... hehe... yet to send it :)

If I DO get it, I'll be flying!!! BUT BUT BUT, better not get my hopes up... It's really tough to get this one...

If it fails, well, I can say,"Well, at least I tried?"... Hmmm... I'm still trying to get an RA job or even a marketing one... It'll be cool if I could get into a music company^^ I should have studied business, no? DEFINITELY NOT! I don't regret studying what I did because I love studying it... at least I think I did... lol...

New week, new beginnings

Had a fun time last Saturday! It's been a while since I last explored KL :) Me and my sister played host to our friend who came all the way from Seoul... The day started with us getting caught in a jam and cuz of that we were late to pick up our friend by 1 hour!!!! Imagine that! From Subang to Section 17, it took us 1 hour!!!

We didn't get to bring her around much... Felt quite bad... We only managed to bring her to Central market, Petaling Street, KLCC and Thean Hou Temple... For food, took her to Kayu, Jalan Alor, and SS2 'Wai Sek Kai'... lol... she wanted ice kacang and the one at Wai Sek Kai was nice... Was supposed to bring her to KL Tower and iCity but we ran out of time... It was too jam in KL and by the time we were done with our ice kacang, it was already 12am... She was going to Melaka the next day and she was staying at her friend's place, so it wasn't nice to bring her back so late... hahaha... We ended chatting more than sightseeing...

Should post up some pictures next time!! I'll prolly put it on FB :)

It's officially been 4 weeks since I started work! Workload is starting to pile up... It always does on a Monday~~ By the end of the week, it'll be gone or only 1 or 2 stuff will be left undone... hahaha... I don't go out for lunch anymore... I'd sacrifice my lunch time just so that I can go home early...

Had a funny dream last night... How I wish it was real though... I dreamt of something that I had always dreamt of doing... hahahah... confusing... Simple terms, I dreamt of what I had always wanted to do~~

At times like these I feel soooo sleepy *yawns*

Boss stepped out since like 9 something and I'm left with no work to do... Nothing to do and I've been looking through the orders, and sorting them out... Can't wait for the weekends!! Oh, a friend from Korea will be visiting too :) Still haven't really planned where to take her as she herself doesn't know what she'll be doing these two days... I think she already arrived today... Planning to take her to Central Market, the Pyramids of not Giza but Sunway (lol), and also iCity... Makan too!! That's what we're famous for, other than the islands and forests~~

Time flies so fast at work! Before you know it, it's already the end of another month!! I wish that it was last week again, then I have something to look forward to... hahaha... Well, I do have something to look forward to this weekend but last week, the anticipation was killing me!! I'd love to repeat last week again^^

Someone, invent a time machine!! I wanna travel back to March 19 2011 and March 20 2010!! Oh, I'd love to travel back to 13 July 2011 as well =D Then I can re-live my holidays in Terengganu, China, and Singapore!! I wonder whether you can travel into the future too! Fast forward to September 2011!! Hehehe... Going to Langkawi again^^ This would be our third time! Just relaxing, swimming, and hopefully some jungle trekking! Ooo... I can't wait!

I miss studying :( I used to complain whenever I started a new essay, assignment, or report... I'd say to myself,"Why on earth did I sign up for this course?? Why why why???"... Then after when I finish my work, I look back at what I wrote and feel a sense of accomplishment... Content, happy, and satisfied... I'd say,"Ahhh... eventhough I complain, I still love what I'm studying"... lol... Now, when I think about it, how on earth did I memorise all those things for the exams??? When I flip through my old notes I'm like,"OMG! I used to remember all these things???"... AMAZING!! Too bad now I don't remember mostof them...

I have a few photos only because I was recording most of the time~~ About the videos? I guess I'll only choose a few to update like the opening, No other, and some other worthy ones! I didn't take all the performances as I was trying to save space for the second half of the concert... YES, I finished 4GB before it even reached the second half of the show!! I didn't take anyone's solo parts except Lee Teuk's and of course, Yesung ^^ I deleted Henry's solo cuz I had no more space :( His rendition of Bieber's Baby was really good!!

I'll most probably add videos in a separate post or just add it together~~ stay tuned for more goodies^^ I've some good videos :)

Good morning all~

It's the start of a new week! I'm already entering week 3 of work at this company :) I'm amazed that I actually lasted this long! I'm happy as long as I have work to do unlike at my previous workplace where I had not much work. It was really boring and the environment was very restricting. Can't use handphone during work, gotta come to work like on the dot but leave late, CCTVs everywhere!!

Complain box! lol. I feel like a foreigner in my own country. Why? Language barrier. How sad is that??? Pathetic even Everyone speaks Mandarin. We're in Malaysia, geez. Not everyone speaks that language. I always feel left out and lost during lunch which is one reason why I prefer not to go out during my lunch break. I'd rather stay in the office and have my own lunch. Why so anti-social? Well, why force myself to feel uncomfortable when I can choose to be comfortable? I tried to fit in for 2 weeks but I just couldn't. Sighs. I tried, I tried. On and off I do try to go out with them but I just don't want to be uncomfortable.

I found this RA job in Singapore. It looks interesting and it's almost kinda close to what I wanted to do last time. Yes, marine biology!!! The project is called Garden in the Sea. It'll basically be about collecting samples, analysing, and classifying them.

It's in Singapore. . . . . . . . . . . Should I send my application? Or wait for news from my alma mater? ? ?

I'm a working girl now

Come tmr, I'll be starting my 3rd week at work! So far, so good... I'm able to cope with the workload for NOW... It's starting to pile up but still manageable... Tmr,gotta attach invoices that arrived from the US office on Friday to their respective POs... AND also to follow up on all the orders I placed last week:)

Job was a little boring at first and I panicked a little on my second day of work because my boss was on a sick leave... I was handling everything on my own in the office with her instructions through the phone and skype... We mainly communicate through skype because it's easier that way, instead of sending emails which we don't check every minute...

Basically, my job description is to type out purchase orders, place orders (duh!), follow up on the payment,delivery, or inventory status by calling suppliers, once in a while make quotations, key in purchase order data into their SAP system, preparing shipping documents, AND clearing shipments. I just learnt the last two stuff on Friday...

It's an easy job, just gotta be a little careful as I get mixed up... There are more than 5 companies under one group and I manage the purchases for all the companies... Sometimes, I issue the wrong PO from the wrong company or key in the wrong list price... Things like that... I get confused with list price, trade price, seller's price, order price @@@@@@ Sometimes I send the POs to customers in excel format which is a BIG NONO! Must send in pdf format...

Bah... I wrote a note on a PINK paper and stuck it to my monitor abt sending in pdf format AND to attach files to the emails... hahaha... It's horrible that I have short term memory loss (mild one)... When my boss tells me a few things at once, I gotta jot them down... Otherwise, I'll forget one or two stuff :D

I'm still looking for RA positions, preferably in my alma mater... Anyone need an RA?? I'm available! Lol... I'm interested in Microbiology and Pharmacology... I plan to further my studies later and am hoping to do a Masters in Formulation Science or Phamaceutical Science... My ambition is to work in the personal care industry as a formulation scientist! Ambitious? Hahaha... My very first interview got me curious abt this industry... It'd be exciting and cool to work as a formulation scientist~~ Tee hee... My alma mater doesn't offer taught masters degrees, only research masters... Their research strengths are also different, mainly tropical biology, biochem, mol bio, entomology, and also microbio... I'm quite interested in microbio BUT there's no opening at the moment :(

Well, I'm only staying at this current company because of the pay... I get paid a lot for working as a 'clerk' ... hahaha... Hopefully I can get an RA position ASAP~~

The last time I made a post, I was resigning from a company... This time, I'm joining a new company! I'm going to by trying something new, not a lab job... I'll be joining a company that sells science equipments and apparatus but I won't be doing the sales, instead I'll be doing the purchasing... I'll be liaising with overseas companies... It's a whole new thing for me but I'm pretty sure it'll be interesting... I met up with the CEO a week ago and he was a nice person... The manager that I'll be reporting to is also a very nice person... The pay is definitely much better than my previous job...

I'll be starting tomorrow!!

I finally got a call from my future employer... I should be happy cuz I got a job!! BUT BUT BUT, there's a mandatory training period that I'll have to undergo for 3 months!! AT IPOH!! Accommodations are provided but but but, at IPOH!! It's not a foreign place for me cuz I've been there a lot of times but I've never stayed there very long before... I wonder what kind of accommodation they'll provide... Just sent an email out just now... I hope she replies soon as she always did in the past...

How long can 3 months be?? I wanna be able to come back before March!! hahahaha... lol... I don't mind going to Ipoh it's just that, it'll be the first time I'll be away from home for 3 months!! The longest I've been away alone was like 10 days... lol... That was for a research project... hmmm... This is a challenge that I've gotta take but I wouldn't mind if the training was in Singapore or something... hahah... Wonder what my parents would say... I haven't called them yet... My mom isn't picking up her phone...

Ipoh Ipoh Ipoh..... hmmmmm... 3 months is really fast... What I'll miss would be my ASTRO!! INTERNET!! lol... Half of me says yes and the other is contemplating... They might shorten my training period if I'm good enough... or was that for the probation period only... can't remember... lol...

Hahhahaha... She's busy today and will only be back later in the evening... hahaha....

I went for 2 interviews last Friday and I was really thankful to the interviewers... They were so friendly and really nice... hehe... The first interview of the day was with a Biotech company searching for RAs to work on their new project about protein research... The interviewer said,'Frankly, chances of you getting this job would be slim because the people before you had GPAs of 3 and above and they have experience but I still wanted to see you. I mean, you're a fresh grad and you have to start somewhere, right?'.

Well, looks like I won't be getting that job unless something happens to the other candidates like they were offered a higher paying job or something! hahaha... I saw one girl's CV and she had like 5 years of experience!! Who wouldn't hire her over moi? lol...

My 2nd interview was all the way in Cheras... The interviewer was very nice too... Friendly and smiley... haha... but she was a bit blur... lol... sry...

Her: So on your resume here, it shows that u've done training at.... Pathology and XXXX.....? For 2 months?
Me: Yes... (goes on and tells her what I did and etc.)

After about 5 minutes...
Her: So, have you done any training while you were studying?
Me: Yup, I did a 2 months internship at XXX lab.... *smiles*
Her: Oh, ya... Ok...........

heheh... She was a bit repetitive but nice nonetheless... Chances of getting this job would definitely be much much higher because I have well a 2 months worth of experience~ lol... Pay, not too good but that's not my concern right now... My concern is to get a job~~ haha... Best of all, the company or lab is only like 5 minutes away from my house!! muahhahha... I can see it from my house (if they chop down some of the trees obstructing my view la)... :)

Hope to receive a call in 1-2 weeks time!

Weird thing, I didn't cough at all during the interviews but before and after them, I was coughing like mad! My diaphragm feels like it's gonna tear...

I was really hoping that I'll score me a ticket for this upcoming showcase on Sunday... BUT, no, didn't stand a chance... I guess I'm just not creative enough... I'm bad at making slogans and those 'I would like to win because ..........................' OR ' You should pick me because.......................' and etc...

Bah, I should be thankful nonetheless... Why? Cause out of all the 4 concerts I've attended so far this year, I only paid for one of them :) I forked out A LOT for the 1st concert that I attended this year... The next 3 were freeeeee~~~ The 2nd and 3rd concerts were tickets I won from contests~~ The most recent concert I went to was also free cuz it was a complimentary ticket from my sister's company :D

I can't win them all so I guess it's fair.... I entered 3-4 contests through 8tvnite Live and didn't win at all... Not even once~~ Anyways, I hope everyone will have fun at the showcase on Sunday!!

Conquering more of Asia

I can add China to the list of Asian places I've visited... hohoho... I previously step foot onto a tiny weeny part of China (not really counted in my book - Shenzhen n Zhuhai)...

I covered more cities and places this time^^

Day 1
Left PJ at 6.45am and took a flight to Guangzhou, transit for 4 hours and then took another flight to Chongqing~ Checked into a fake 5 star hotel... horrible place...

[note: Chongqing has the largest population in China... I nvr knew that... Over 30million ppl! That's like more than the population of Malaysia in a city!!]

Day 2
Visited Eling Park and the Three Gorges Museum in Chongqing... Headed to the pier at night to board the cruise^^
We took Victoria Anna~~ Not too big, abt 200 passengers~~

Day 3
Breakfast was YUMMY!! Better than the food in Chongqing... Went to visit the 'Ghost' city of Fengdu... Really interesting~~ A few rules that we had to follow... The guide even told us how to spot ghosts... lol... 3 ways: 1st - if the person has no shadow; 2nd - if the person has no knees, 3rd; the person is talking but has to lower jaw and chin... creepy eh?

There were three levels of temples; heaven, earth and the underworld... Before entering the 1st the temple, we had to walk across a bridge... Ppl who are single have to cross the bridge with an uneven no. of steps. For those who are not, have to cross with 8 steps... Then to get to the 2nd level, we had to climb a flight of stairs... Ppl under the age of 33 had to climb the stairs in one single breath... I managed to do it! haaha... When we entered the 'underworld' we were given a choice on what gender wanna be in our next life... Enter the gate on the right side for female and the left side for male... Somehow, I don't think my aunts n uncles heard and they all walked on the right side... hahaha... After another flight of steps, there was another gate... Girls had to cross the gate using their right leg and the guys, left... When crossing the gate, careful not to touch it as they say u will lose money :)
Another interesting thing I found out was that Kuan Yin used to be a horse from India and was then transformed into a man with female features.......... I nvr knew that....

After Fengdu, we headed back to our Cruise ship and had lunch :) Slept for a while then went for the Captain's Welcome session... Then it was dinner and then a fashion show showcasing the Chinese traditional clothes...

Day 4
Sailed through the first gorge, Wu Gorge... It was beautiful!! Then we took a smaller ferry to the Three Smaller Gorges / Daning River... Somewhere along the river was the site of the Hanging Coffins of the Bo people... I've always wanted to see it!! It's so cool!! Amazing how these people climbed the super high rock walls while carrying a heavy wooden coffin... Saw a few~~ After that we transferred onto a smaller boat / sampan and... Very nice~~~ Our boatman was nice... He sure didn't look his age (37)...

After dinner, there was another performance by the crew... Very very entertaining... hahaha... Later around 11pm I think we sailed through the shiplocks... Stayed up till the last gate (6)... It was sooo worth it!! Went to sleep around 4am... It lasted THAT long~~ It's so interesting... haha

Day 5
Woke up early =( IT was our last day on the cruise... boohooo... Wanted to skip breakfast but I didn't wanna miss the yummy food! Visited the Three Gorges Dam site... Sailed through the last Gorge... Had our last lunch on the ship and then we disembarked at Yichang... Took a bus to Jingzhou (one of the Three Kingdoms)... Visited a mausoleum that contained China's oldest man or something... There was a preserved body in the museum... After that we went to THE WALL... I can't remember what it's called but the local guide kept mentioning,'Here u can see THE WALL... ANCIENT WALL.......' At THE WALL, there were three statues, Liu Bei, Guan Yu, and someone else... Then we took the bus to Wuhan (another 3 hours!!)... Arrived at Wuhan in the evening, had dinner, and shopped a bit before checking in to our hotel/apartment... IT WAS HUGE!!! Creepy too... swapped rooms with my parents cuz our room was bigger...

Day 6
Breakfast was lousy... Visited the Yellow Crane Tower... LOTS OF PEOPLE! SUPER HOT!! It was hot everyday... haha... After that we headed to the airport and had lunch...Took a plane to Guangzhou~~~ Had YUMMY dinner at Guangzhou and then checked into our lovely hotel~~~

Day 7
YUMMY breakfast as expected of Holiday Inn :) Went to see the Three Goats statue in the park and drove pass the San Yet Sun monument... Then we went to Beijing Street for SHOPPING!! We had a dimsum lunch at a famous restaurant called Lian Xiang Lou (100 year old something... I can't remember)... IT WAS AMAZING!! Best dim sum I've ever eaten... hohoho... Egg tarts were fantastic! Har-kou had 3 prawns in it^^ After lunch we went to a walking mall which was a bad choice... Too complicated and a lot of renovations (decorations, as our guide called it) were taking place... After that we headed back to Beijing Road for a last minute shopping...

Had dinner at a fancy smancy place but dummy people were smoking indoors... sigh sigh sigh... So inconciderate of them to smoke indoors... PABO!! Headed back to the hotel to pack pack pack!!!

Day 8
Had yummy breakfast again :) Went to the Friendship Mall which was really near our hotel... It was raining~~~~ Visited their supermart and bought stuff^^ Then I bought a Sony earphone for only RM52!! My aunt got me a Samsung TicToc mp3 player~~ It's SOOOO CUTE!! Kamsahamnida =) She was the same aunt that got me my very first mp3 player; Creative Zen Stone... hehe... SO nice^^

After that, headed back to the hotel for some last minute packing and off we go to the airport... Had an expensive but edible food at the airport... Our flight was delayed till 8pm... Why? Cuz the plane lated... lol... LATED!! CHINA english is THE BEST!! Arrived in Malaysia around 12am plus... Reached PJ at 2am and came home around 2 plus... Unpacked and slept at 4am~~

This time 8 days felt like 2 weeks cuz we visited so many places... When I was in Korea, 8 days felt really really short... haha.... The trip to China was more memorable and fun because I went with my FAMILY =) There were 26 of us!! Only 3 of my cousins went... The rest were aunts and uncles and my grandma's sister (I think)...

Have yet to upload photos onto facebook... streamyx prb again... *sighs*

It's been exactly one week since I left Seoul =( I really had sooo much fun there... Definitely must visit again... 6 days was too short! (minus 2 days of travelling)

This was what we did over 8 days =)

Day 1, 13/7/2010
Had a light dinner with my parents before leaving KLIA~
Transit at Bangkok for an hour or so.
RUSHED like MAD to the boarding gate because they showed that it was the final call! Arrived at the boarding gate all sweaty only to find out that it wasn't a final call. They were actually letting passengers board the plane row by row... UGH!

Day 2
Arrived at Incheon~~~ SUPER HAPPY =)
Took a bus from the airport to Myeongdong... Walked to the hotel which was only like a minute away... Couldn't check-in yet cuz we landed around 6am and reached the hotel around 9? Check-in time was 1pm so we decided to explore the area a bit... Went to the Starbucks behind our hotel and had a taste of Starbucks coffee in Korea... I had my usual Chocolate frappo with one shot of espresso... YUMMY =) Then I was asked to do a survey online but we got lost in translation... hahaha... The barista was having a hard time telling me what to do... lol... If I complete the survey, I'll get a free latte the next time I visit!! woot woot^^

After that, we walked around Myeongdong and started our first taste of collecting free samples and of course, shopping!!! Had naengmyeon for lunch and headed back to the hotel to check-in and freshen up~ Was very impressed and happy with the hotel!! Rooms were clean and big!
Went back shopping a bit and had Korean street food; tteokbogi and a sausage topped with bacon~

Went to Gangnam, walked around again and then went for dinner with Sora~ We had a traditional Korean dinner! It was super filling but yummy!
Later at night, visited Cheonggyecheon! It was so nice... Soaked our tired feet in the river before heading back to the hotel...

Day 3
Woke up at 7am and got ready~ Went for breakfast and then made our way to the bus station in Jamsil. Took the bus and headed to EVERLAND =)
It was really nice but quite hot... Reached everland around 11am... Visited the souvenir store first! Snapped plenty of pics in there... haha... I was surprised that their merchandises weren't expensive... Had burgers for lunch~ Spent almost the whole day at the theme park~ Left around 7pm and headed back to Myeongdong for dinner. This time we had BBQ^^

Day 4
Woke up early again and had breakfast in the hotel. We took the subway to Wangshimi station and then to Cheongyangni. From there, we took KORAIL to Gapyeong station in Gyeonggi-do... Then we took a cab to the Nami dock and took a ferry over to the island... We spent the whole morning travelling again... The place was nice~~~ We walked walked walked and then it started to rain so we decided to have our lunch... We had BBQ again and pajeon~~ It was POURING LIKE MAD! We had to buy raincoats and umbrellas... Walked in the rain and the 'streets' became streams... We were wading in the water as we explored the island more... We decided to stop at 4pm and headed back to Seoul... Was sad that we didn't get to explore the island properly.. We even planned to cycle around the place =(

Reached the hotel around 7 and did our laundry before heading out to have dinner~~ We tried Andong jjimdak... It's Andong style steam/simmered chicken... It was the most spiciest thing I've ever eaten!! Eventhough it was spicy, it was REALLY tasty! Headed back to the hotel to collect our laundry and then went for a little shopping again =)

Day 5
Slept in and went to Tour Les Jours before going to Starbucks! Had yummy bread and my free Vanilla latte for breakfast^^ It was technically free but I added vanilla into my latte... I paid 500won for that... haaha... Since it was raining again, we cancelled our plans to go Gyeongbokgung and went to Dongdaemun for more shopping!! Visited Doota and then Migliore... I had bulgogi bibimbap for lunch at Doota! We ordered a pizza and it was YUMMY!

Then headed back in the evening and me and my sis went to Myeongdong for dinner while Lynette went to Sinsa-dong for her dinner with her friends... Me n my sis had japanese food... I tried the katsu and my sis had sushi with cold soba noodles... Again, the food was YUMMY! After that we walked to the Namsan Cable car... Mind u, nvr walk there at night with only 2 ppl. Very creepy cuz u have to walk through the housing areas and the streets are quite empty. Lucky for us there was a couple in front of us... The fog was THICK but we could see the lights of the city after the fog was gone =)

Day 6
Slept in a bit and bought some bread from Tour Le Jours for breakfast again!! Visited Idae (Ewha's Women Uni Viscinity), Sinchon, and Hongdae (Hongik Uni Viscinity)... Shopped around in Idae... We had ssamgyupsal and marinated pork in Sinchon~~ Didn't really enjoy the ssamgyupsal as it was pork belly fat... Then we went to a Hello Kitty Cafe for coffee and waffles... After that we walked to Hongdae went to the Coffee Prince Cafe!! Had coffee again (not me as I had iced peach tea)... Snapped pics and then went to Yeouido for the Hangang Cruise~~ Myungshin (Nette's friend) joined us this time... The cruise was nice... The highlight was Banpo bridge!! So beautiful!! My sister got soaked... haha... Headed back to Myeongdong for a late night dinner... Had haemultang~ It was spicy but yummy!! We also had some bulgogi^^

Day 7
Last day of shopping for us =( Went to Insadong as it wasn't raining... Bought some souvenirs and then went to Lotte Mart near Seoul Station for a little grocery shopping! hahaha... Bought kimchi and instant noodles =) I also bought a packet of doenjang as I was hooked onto doenjang jiggae~~ Had lunch there as well... I had the bulgogi lunch box and then we shared cheese tteokbogi~~ Headed back to the hotel and took a short rest... I was shocked to see a bottle of wine and 3 glasses on the table!! It was complimentary... haha...After that, went out for dinner with the Korean University students at Ashley Americal Grill... We had the international buffet there... Food was GREAT!! I loved the sweet potato gratin^^ After dinner we had to head back to the hotel to do a little packing... Then we went out again for some last minute shopping!! After that we had supper with Sora at Beans Bins... Had waffle with Haagen Dazs ice cream!!! Said our goodbyes and started packing!! It took us like 2 or 3 hours to finish!!

Day 8
Woke up at 5am to shower and get ready... Left the hotel at 6am and went to the bus stop to take a bus to the airport =(
Reached the airport, boarded the plane, transitted at Hong Kong and Bangkok. We had a nice foot massage at Bangkok and tried their Starbucks... Seoul's was much better!! Reached Malaysia around 10 something~~ Was tired but I wouldn't mind doing it all over again!

I took Thai Airways and the food was GREAT!! I think the last meal on the plane was the best!! I had vegetarian ravioli and tiramisu!!

Yes, I'm really havin a great time at class^^ This week, 3 new students joined us!! More people = more fun!! We also have a new Korean 'helper' at class called Mason... It's a unique name to me cuz I've nvr heard it before... The others have common names like Peter, Miso, Nana and etc... Yea, it's fun~~ Last week they bought donuts as a snack... It was really nice of them to keep buying stuff but they are already giving us free lessons! This week shall bring something to class... haha... mom suggested her famous sandwiches...

On Friday, we went for a badminton session at the Taman Megah court!! We left Subang at 3.40pm and reached the court 1 hr later!! The jam was AWFUL! HORRIBLE! But we had lots of fun! There were 13 of us altogether; 9 koreans and 4 chinese... lol... out numbered by them... hahaha... First, partnered Sean and played against Miso and Nana... Hahaha... The girls obviously haven't played in a long long time or weren't very good... Had a good laugh... Then Nana stopped playing and Yujin stepped in to play... Switched partners and played for a while... after like 40 minutes, my partner, Yujin, got tired and we had a timeout...

Drank some water and then Pastor jimmy asked me to play with him... I just had a rest for like 3 minutes only... This time my partner was Peter and we played against Pastor Jimmy and Jonathan!! It was terrible! We were being beaten by the older ppl... hahaha... I didn't dare run too much cuz I didn't warm up b4 that... bad idea... seriously, now my thigh muscles are like so stiff!! Lucky thing Jonathan stepped out from the game and Mason played... Otherwise I think I'll be in even more pain... lol... Jonathan and Pastor Jimmy were giving us like drop shots and super high smashes that I can't reach!!

hopefully, it'll be fine by Wednesday, gonna play with the cousins this time~~
Time to sleep!! Need to put on some panaflex~~ The best plaster ever cuz yr bulu roma won't kena pulled out... lol...

Oh, in 2 weeks time, Korean students from Korea (duh!) will b visiting us... hahaha... we'll b having a party^^ What food to bring?? Mayb I'll bring some fried laksa... Even the Malaysians nvr tried it before... heheh...

I've already attended 3 classes... So far so good... Had a blast at last week's class =) Went over to my teacher's house for a class this time... Getting there was already funny! Me n my fren decided to drive thr... We were following behind our teacher's car... It was hard enough that we cudn't understand what he was saying over the phone... He was driving REALLY SLOW... We were so busy talking that we accidentaly overtook his car... hahaha... lucky we knew the way there...

Anyways, we met new friends and even had dinner there =) Really nice of them to cook us a meal... We had bibimbap (비빔밥), Kimchi (김지), and some 'DOG'... lol... 'Dog' that quacks...

My teacher said this to us,'Jimmy (another student) brought DOG for us today to eat'...
Our jaw dropped and we were like ,'ha?? DOG???'...
and she goes,'Yes, DOG'..... 'DOG? D.O.G DOG??'... Jimmy just sat there and smiled...
She goes,'Ah, DOG....quack quack (plus a little hand motion) dog??'...
Ahhhh... we were,'OH! Duck, not dog'...
'Yes, Doog...'

Her pronounciation was off but that really was funny... lol... I didn't take a pic of the bibimbap... only got a pic of the kimchi~

Funny angle? My friend took the pic... hahha... I was too busy sweating over my food... Put a little too much Gochujang in it...

Todays class was FUN as well but not as fun as the previous one cuz my friend didn't accompany me this time =( BUT, I still had fun nonetheless... We had pizza (I took only one tiny slice cuz dinner was waiting for me at home)... During one part of my class, the other group were learning how to say places in Korean (e.g. Subway, .....) Suddenly I heard the background music of Iris!! HAha.. Cudn't help but I straightaway turned my head to the computer on their table and I saw Kim Tae Hee.. haha... Sry to my teacher who was teaching me... haha... It's reflex... lol...

Oh, just now I heard a loud *pakk* sound and then my comp shut down... Ugghhh... The power cord extension 'sot' my charger! I'll need to get a new one now... sighs... It's only 2 years old (in August)... Lucky I'm going to the Gigimall tmr to get me a TV box~~ muahahaha... no more watching dramas and movies on the computer ^^

Pretty right?? It's the only WD tv box that plays Real Media files but doesn't support MKV... The supports all except RM files... sighs... the expensive one is compatible with my TV but the middle priced one isn't... The cheapest one (pic) is compatible with my TV... So I'll be getting that if I am gonna purchase one from WD =)

I just attended the first lesson last Thursday with my dear friend who accompanied me after lunch... haha... she whispered to me in class,'Lucky I came with u... otherwise u'll feel so out of place'... lol... No kidding! I was sooo glad she came with me =) Thankius kawan!!

There were 6 or 7 students, 3 of them were more advanced and the other 4 (plus me) are well the beginners... Me n my fren were the OLDEST!! gasp... One guy was 19 and the other girl was prolly only 12? 13?? or mayb even younger... suddenly I feel so old... Lucky our teachers or 선생님s were older... hahaha... Miso, 26 and Peter (older than us)... There were other Koreans there to help us as well; Nana and Helen... It's a free class, we only pay for the books... They're so nice to spare some time to teach us =) They're friendly too but got a bit of language prbs la... Our teacher, Miso, was here to study english... She just graduated from a uni in Korea... Others, not so sure... Nana just arrived a week ago... She loves to say,Anyeeeeooooonnnngggg~~~ a lot... hahaha...

Anyways, for the first lesson, we just leart the first 6 basic vowels and 5 consonents...

It's not as easy as it looks... Japanese was MUCH MUCH easier...The japanese pronouciation is clear and distinct whereas the Korean pronounciation is very similar to one another... ㅓ is pronounced as eo like in how u say 'U' in 'UP' or' TOP'... ㅗ is pronounced as o as in how u say 'O' in 'orange'... they both sound the same to me... hahaha... keep getting confused...

I learnt a few extra stuff from the teachers on my first day... they were so excited when I mentioned that I am travelling to Korea in July... they teached me how to bargain... lol.. she even emphasised that it is VERY IMPORTANT!

Enjoyed it and ya, have to study study study... I will b missing this week's class cuz I'm going up to Cameron's... Downloaded the expected lesson for this week and shall listen to it... hehe...

Yes! Not only is it a shopping mall, it also has a hotel, office, and residential buildings! Cool, no?

I visited the hotel, Empire Hotel (I guess) and I was really impressed! Rooms were big and comes with a seperate study area... I didn't take a pic of the bed and toilet (which was modern and spacious) but I took the small hallway seperating the bed from the workspace... I think this is a good idea... It's a boutique hotel and standard room rates start from RM200+ and above... Price still not confirmed yet... The pics below were for the standard room. The other bigger room, I didn't take a pic cuz it was hot hot hot! They haven't installed the air-conditioning system yet... The bigger room was BIGGER (??) and the seperate study area had a couch and a small round table with chairs... Both rooms had Samsung HDTVs!! So nice!

I also had the chance to visit the grand ballroom which is quite small cuz the hotel itself isn't very big... The person who brought us around said it can fit about 300 people in it but I think it definitely can fit much MUCH more! I just love the walls and the ceiling of the place =) very modern~~

Pretty right? I'm impressed with the hotel... There is a 'skybar' at the lobby... 2 I think... They have an outdoor 'patio' for people who wanna breathe in the smoky air outside... hahh. Mind u, both bars/outdoor sitting areas are facing busy roads (one facing the Federal Highway, and the other facing the road behind Wisma Consplant)... haha... No pics cuz they haven't finished renovating the place yet... Shud be opening by next month... Owner of the hotel is only 39 years old and is already a DATUK!!! Shocking~~

Anways, I really like the place and the shopping mall is really nice too! Some of the tenants include, Jaya Grocers (SAY HELLO MORE IMPORTED FOOD!), Tangs (junior anchor tenant), Italiannies, Mdm Kwan's, Rakuzen (shifted here from SS15), Nyonya Clours (delicious Mee Siam that costs only RM2.50), Pasta Zanmai, Shojikiya, Crispy Sister's Popiah, Yoo something (sells yao char kuay and etc), Mr Baoz (sell siew bao), Hot Wraps (monash also has), O'Brien's Sandwich (yummy wrappos), Teh Tarik Place, Coffee Bean, Starbucks, The Loaf, Lameeya (from DU), Tarbush, and others.. Just realised, I listed all the food shops! hahahaha... Got The Face Shop, Speedy, World Of sports, Kiehl's, Crabtree & Evelyn, Guess, Bag Bar (??), Popular, Toys R Us, Cheateau de Sable (love the baju thr! It's a kids shop! hahaha), F.O.S, Adidas, Skechers, SASA, OPI, 128 Faubourg, and many many more which I can't remember... Oh, the name of the mall is Empire Shopping Gallery =)

I had a really great time at the concert even though I went alone... hahha... I can't give a really in depth report abt the con cuz I'm not very familiar with all of her songs... Some songs she sang were Since U Been Gone, I Do Not Hook Up, All I Ever Wanted, Miss Independent, Breakaway, Behind These Hazel Eyes, Because of You, I can't Get You Out of my head (by Kylie Minogue), a famous rock song (no idea what the title is), and she closed with My Life Would Suck Without You... I think she sang something by Alanis Morissette as well cuz she mentioned that she liked her songs... It ended just after 1 n a half hours! Really fast! No encore, she just finished the last song and said,'See you guys next year' and ran behind the stage and she was GONE~

Jaclyn Victor and Suki Low were the opening act of Kelly's Concert... Jaclyn sang a medley of malay songs, starting and ending with Gemilang! I really love that song =) Her singing really gave me goosebumps... no kidding...

Suki appeared on stage in this HUGE RED dress that had a train... It was a lovely dress but a bit too much for this kind of performance no? Everyone was like,' Must she wear that? Why is she wearing that dress?'... But she really looked very pretty =)

It's been crazy!! Weather is super hot and then it gets cloudy but doesn't rain, THEN it get hot again... Some days it's just unbearably HOT HOT HOT! On some days, it rains 3 times a day... BUT when the rain stops, it's HOT again...

Today is nice and cool~~ It just rained... hopefully Mr Sun doesn't shine its sun rays... hehe...

What I've been doing these few days? I've been hotel hunting... That's done for now... I've been job hunting too... Applied for 3 new jobs last night... That's more than 10 jobs already... hmmm... Been trying to transcribe some music but failed cuz I was too lazy to find out the timing of each notes... hahaha... One piece -->All the RH is done, ony the LH... Another piece-->both notes for LH and RH completed but have to find out the timing...

Drama drama drama... hehe... Downloading a new one~~ It's quite nice...

Hmmmm... gonna watch episodes 2-5!!! I also have to think abt where to go tonight... My sister's b'day...

Mom's friend took Korean Airlines to US and she was AMAZED by their service... They had a make-up room aka powder room aka DRESSING ROOM for ladies on board!! They provide basic cosmetics in the dressing room as well... It's bigger than the toilet! NOT ONLY THAT, everytime u exit the bathroom, a steward/stewardess will be waiting outside the toilet to clean the toilet after u! EVERY SINGLE TIME! I'm amazed by their service... Too bad the airfare is too expensive, otherwise I would have chosen to fly with them...

Oh well, Thai Airways is fine too I guess... I haven't flew with them before... I've only been on China Airlines, MAS, AirAsia, and some domestic airlines in USA...

I had a blast yesterday night!! Transferring all my memories from my phone into the computer~~ It's taking forever! I have 250MB worth of low quality vidoes to see... hehe... regretted not bringing my camera with me... I left it in the car worrying that they would confiscate my camera, so I only managed to record the screen which is right beside me for a better view of their faces... heh... my phone is only 3MB and cannot zoom when taking pics in 3MP mode..have to change to QVGA mode =(

Well, I know that ppl say that pictures are worth 1000 words but memories last a lifetime^^

So tempted to go to the airport to send them off! At least I can get better pics... Only prb is, no transport down! Oh wait, I have three cars sitting here at home! Another prb, parents say that it's crazy to go all the way to KLIA... oh well...

FAILED!!!

Bought this Chikin ramen from Sg cuz I was curious... The concept of the ramen is soooo cute... hehe...

It didn't come out like the picture... You know why?? Cuz apparently you can cook it two ways... First way is mcm 'Mee in my mug' or in this case, mee in my bowl! 2nd way was to cook it like all instant noodles and that's what I did... As u can see, there is a hole in the middle of the noodle which is the place to put my egg! Unfortunately, the yolk slipped out cuz the water was boiling and bubbles filled the hole and puhsed the egg out =(

Wouldn't buy it again cuz it didn't come out like the pic! hahaha... lol... that's not the reason, the reason is that there is way toooo much MSG!! Thirsty! Personally, I'd rather enjoy eating the noodles without cooking it... Like Mamee noodle snack =)
AND AND, there is plenty of Vit E and the noodle is made out of yam... all I could taste was the yam and the egg...

Just like what the title says, I'm just making this post for fun~~
Now that CNY finished, I can finally relax my tummy.. haha.. it's enjoying itself for the past 2 weeks!! Feast after feast after feast!! This year I didn't go extra round cuz of one smart move, stay off the CNY munchies aka COOKIES! Didn't eat as much cookies as I did last year or the years before... hehe...

My dear dear cousin, Nette, got me hooked onto GB AGAIN!! Too bad my skills weren't as good as before... I could easily miss someone that is right in front of me!! Estimation skills are soooo bad now... Need to polish it up! Had a nice round of GB with her last night or this morning =) Hehe... Was supposed to kill her but she accidentaly shot herself and so she died... hahahaha... Can't wait for tonight!! GBGBGB!!

One thing I love abt CNY is the gatherings! And we can take as much selcas as we want without ppl staring at us... haha... snap snap snap~~ Oh, and we get to buy NEW CLOTHES!! That probably is the BESTEST part of it all, SHOPPING!

I got a new phone!!! yey yey... Bought it on CNY eve... hehe... traded in my 4 year old phone for RM120 and got a new one!! I finally own a clamshell phone =)

I chose the pink one!! I actually wanted the blue one at first but after seeing it, I prefered the pink one cuz I didn't like the tone of the blue... It looks nice in pics but not so nice in real life...

Just realised I don't have a memory card inside... shall go back to the shop and ask...
Just got my new lollipop and they have a second version out already...

It's soooo prettttyyyy~~ Much cheaper than Sony Ericsson phones... I can't afford SE phones anymore... New models are like RM12xx and above... My sis bought a phone at RM17xx!!! madness... traded it in within 3 or 4 months cuz she doesn't like it... got another SE @ RM14xx??
yea... No more SE for me... I got my Lollipop @ RM750!! RRP is RM899!!!

I was figuring out how to edit the templates and just found out that they were using XML format adey... no more HTML... meaning now I can't edit it cuz I don't have a clue how too... My ISP is really bad with handling customers. I've been instructed to do the same thing like 5 times already!! They keep referring me to new people to handle my case... gggrrrr... I'm using DiGi's broadband for the time being... it's sooo much more reliable than the OTHER ISP that I am currently paying RM88 PER MONTH for... It's been 3 weeks already... Can't u just send a technician to do the job? Called them this morning and said they will look into it again... Then received a phone call from them but then nobody replied me... So thinking there was a prb with the line I hung up... Few seconds later I received an sms saying that my complaint abt my internet has been cancelled/terminated/GONE because they couldn't reach me for the past 3 days... HELLO?? Is it my fault that I can't hear you guys on the phone?? I said,' Hello? Hello??' like 10 times before I put the phone down... Nobody answered me... Expect me to stay at home everyday waiting for your call? geee... I've been picking up yr phone calls but nobody answers me... horrible horrible horrible... If they expect me to pay for this month's bill, they will be hearing from my mom (Expert in these cases)...

Rant rant rant... on top of that, my comp almost died today... accidentally spilled tea on my keyboard... I could see my display slowly dissappearing... first reaction was to quickly turn my comp upside down... but then, keyboard was unrespensive and the monitor wouldn't turn on... went to the service centre, told the lady what happened (minus the part whr I spilled the tea of course) and then she said there was no prb... Surprised? She force start the comp by pressing F10 repeatedly... COOL! Super happy and now it's working fine =)

Those pesky mosquito bites I got from Mulu are still itching like mad!! Insect repellent really doesn't work against the wild mosquitoes... They still attack you... well, it didn't work on me... U can feel the mosquitoes when they bite you because it hurts! These huge mosquitoes will sting you and then steal yr blood... I really hate them...

Itchy itchy... Did I mention that I didn't get bitten by any leeches?? Spotted quite a few... two fell on my arms on different days but they didn't bite me cuz I swept them away... One of my team mates got a leech up his pants... near his............. lol... our team was laughing including him!! even our supervisor... hahahaha...

I wouldn't mind going back to Mulu again but then it won't be the same without all my friends... I still haven't been to the Clearwater, Wind, and Moonmilk Caves =(

I wanna try to hike to the pinnacles too!! The guides were surprised at how fast I walked back from the Dipterocarp forest... haha... they said, 'Waaa. Kamu jalan laju ya. Boleh pergi Pinnacles and Gunung Mulu sudah!'... I was like, 'HUH?? Tak boleh la... Terlalu jauh... Sekarang sudah penat...' and they laughed... About 2 minutes later one of my team member emerged from the forest with the rest of the team...

I don't think I'll even get the chance to go 'bush-bashing' ever again unless I have another project like this...

I've been slacking like crazy this week... Need to finish up my report... still have discussion and intro left... sighs...

I'm back from the JUNGLE!!

I'm serious!!! Was in Mulu National Park for 9 days!! I was away for 10 days as I spent one luxurious day in Miri before I was far far away from civillisation... It was a really great trip!! Had so much fun!! Had to sacrifice my prom night though... BUT I made plenty of new friends and gained much much more experience that I don't think I'll ever be able to do again!!

Typing is soooo difficult now cuz the 'w' and '!' buttons of my keyboard aren't working =(

My comp wouldn't start while I was in Mulu (well the last 2 days)... No idea y... When I came home and asked IT expert, Mr Jason (yea nette, yr bro!), he actually used his super power to start it up! No kidding!! I was super shocked!!!! All he did was touch my comp and said the magic word 'Ohhhmmm' and my comp was running again!! ROFL!! When I told my friends, they just laughed and were like ,'Serious???'... hehe...

I already uploaded the good pics on my facebook... Didn't bother uploading the different pics of forests as they pretty look the same to most of you =)

I came back with tons of mosquito bites n a sprained ankle... Leech bites?? NONE... but two leeches did fall on my arm but thanks to my super reflexes, I swept them off my arms before they hooked into my flesh =)

I pulled 2 leeches off form my friends' legs but for some reason, they wouldn't let go... Natalie had help from Patty cakes (Hah) and Sui Peng used rocks to get the pesky water leech off her...

P/S: Mulu is not a cave... It's a mountain... It's Gunung Mulu or Mulu National Park NOT MULU CAVE... There are 5 caves (prolly more, not sure) - Lang Cave, Deer Cave, Clearwater Cave, Moonmilk Cave, and Wind Cave...

Sadly, I only managed to visit Lang and Deer Caves cuz not enough time...

Short description of what I did during my trip...

Day 1 - Arrived at Miri and my personal tour guide brought me around... hahaha...

Day 2 - Arrived at Mulu, chilled, had dinner & went for a night walk

Day 3 - Australian students arrived, briefing, visit sampling sites, watch the bats, night walk

Day 4 - Went to the alluvial forest and measured trees in 16 plots (radius of 9 m)

Day 5 - Went for the canopy walk in the morning, visited the mosaic forest and did 8 plots, then around 2.30pm went to the Deer and Lang Caves...

Day 6 - Went to the mosaic forest again and did 12 plots... Helped my friends search and identify frogs at night...

Day 7 - Went to the dipterocarp forest which was a 2.5 hours hike to the site... Did 20 plots but had help from 4 volunteers!! It rained on the way back... Took us only 2 hours to get back... went for a night walk again... preparing presentation... then got a call frm Dr Rohan saying that he found a TARSIER!!!! Back to presentation... slept at 3.30am...

Day 8 - Presentation session at 8am and then aussie students left... Relaxed... Played heart attack at night...

Day 9 - Went to Long Iman, a Penan village... Hiked to the waterfall then visited a keranga forest... went for a last night walk in hope of searching for another tarsier or maybe a slow lauris but no luck...

Day 10 - Sad day... Had breakfast, lats minute packing, chat chat chat, then left Mulu... Reached Miri at around 2 something... Left Miri at 4.30pm... Reached KLIA at almost 7pm, sent Dorin n Lijin home and then headed to Sa's house for dinner...

This week has to be the worst week for me ever! Failed isolation, blank agar plates, horrible capsule staining... What else can go wrong?

THIS picture totally made my day!!

I was suppose to isolate two different bacteria from a mixed culture... I managed to isolate one but the other one for some reason refused to grow on my HBA!! I isolated twice and nothing grew... or at least I thought so... hahha... The pic above is my Neisser's stain performed on an 'empty' Loeffler's slope... Why empty? Well I couldn't see any visible colonies growing on the slope... Gram stained it and found SO MANY BACTERIA!! So I proceeded to do a Neisser's and got the BEAUTIFUL pic above... ahhhh...
Sadly there wasn't anything on my HBA so I couldn't proceed with a RapID test... *sighs*
But wait, I was asked to gram stain my 'empty' HBA and I got minute tiny tiny amounts of bacteria... I mean I could actually count how many G+ve rods thr were in one field... lol...

Well... Going out to celebrate JoyC's b'day tmr... Watching G-force!!! Cute little fur balls... hehe...

Was suppose to meet SS501 just now for the fan meeting... Geeeeee... all because of my experiment... The dummy spectrophotometer was SOOOO MEAN! Kept recording negative values up to like -0.9 something... We tried it on 4 diff machines and still had negative values... In the end, after like ~40 mins of measuring 5 TUBES, we were asked to change our blank... It was like already 4.45pm... That's when we started getting good results =)
I was abt to leave at that time adey... Sent our tubes for centrifugation and called my momma to pick me up... BUT THEN, she was stuck in Shah Alam... geramnye aku... I actually planned to leave at 4.30 one... sighs... Mom arrived while I was halfway measuring my solution which was around 4.20pm... Rushed all the way to One World Hotel...

Hated the guy in a black suit... The hotel staff were friendly... Great service BUT THAT EVIL EVIL GUY IN BLACK SUIT WAS SOOOOOO RUDE! Man... I reached the queue downstairs, collected my tag and tried to get an album but the stall was like on the other side of the queue...

The other side was just 5 steps away!! There was enough space for me to cross but NO, this EVIL MAN had to like scold me... geez... I even asked him politely... I asked a fan whether I could like cross the to the other side... She said she doesn't know cuz I'm guessing she's seen the EVIL MAN scolding other ppl adey... so yea, she said have to ask the black guy who suddenly came out of nowhere... He said, 'You cannot cross through here. You have to go up (points to the lift which was like 20 steps away), go to the lobby (which was whr I was b4), walk down the stairs (which was like located 50m away from the lobby), and then come down... Took me almost 3 minutes just to get on the otherside of the line... geeeezz...
Then I asked nicely, 'Can't I just pass through the line here? It's just over there. Can't I just pass through??'... 'NO! You can't ! You have to go *Repeats the instructions again*...

'But it's just on the other side... (mom helps as well... It's just the other side so near)...'
'PLEASE CO-OPERATE! CAN YOU PLEASE CO-OPERATE?', in a strict tone...
'But I just want to get to the other side. There is space for me to cross'.

And he just kept going PLEASE CO-OPERATE with his voice getting louder and louder... So I was like Alright... Thanks... Walked off feeling pissed at him... At least tell me nicely la... Don't have to yell...

When I reached downstairs, the line WAS OMG!!!!! I didn't expect so many fans to turn up on such a short notice... What's worse was, THE ALBUM WAS SOLD OUT!! There were prolly more than 1000 fans there... Pushing and squeezing in the super dense line... like a can of sardines... I even took pics of the fans... For those of u who have been to the hotel, you should have a pic of how long the queue was... From the entrance of the fxn room all the way to the parking lot!!

Please excuse the blur pics... Hands were shaky after rushing and walking so much... Plus I was tired and feeling hot...

Yea.. It was packed... I didn't wait there long... Arrived at 6 and left around 6.30... I was standing in front of the side door... As u can see from the last pic above, the entrance to whr those girls is on the right while I was behind them.. hehe... Thought I could get a good view of them if they walk in or out... Waiting waiting, talked with a few fans outside with my mom... Mom was practising her Mandarin with those girls... haha... They were fans of Hyun Joong aka Jihoo... Same as my mom... chat chat chat... Talked with the hotel worker who was also the door guard... hehe... We were well behaved there... Unlike those at the back of the autograph line... They were pushing and we could hear them screaming cuz they were being pushed... please ppl... BEHAVE!
Ok... The guy guarding the door was funny... He was asking, how do we understand what the Koreans are talking? Do you understand? we were like We understand some la... Some were dubbed in Mandarin... He was like oh... Then uses his head to 'point' at the 'Pau tou por' (sry for that... hehe...) and said they understand?? Mom said, 'Got subtitles ma!'... Haha... He was kind enough to open the door a bit to let the air-con out for us... hehe... IT WAS HOT!! He said he hasn't seen the guys walked in the place... We were asking how and whr will they come in from or even exit... He didn't really know... After abt 15 minutes, the Malaysian bodyguard came out and well I dunno what he was doing but we talked to him too... Friendly person... hehe... Asked him abt the boys... Where will they come in from and exit from... He said don't waste your time standing here la... They have a special entrance for them at the back... Even if they leave the place, they would never come out to the front (whr I was standing)... If they did, ALL THE GIRLS WILL CRUSH THEM UNTIL THEY DIE! THEN A GIRL MIGHT KISS THE BOY AND HE WILL FAINT ON THE SPOT! Hahahaha... Btw, the whole convo took place in canto... which made it even funnier... hehe...

Yea, after that we decided to leave but I was reluctant of course... I was so close yet so far... Now all I can hope for is their concert at the end of the year... I wanna go... Am saving up for that... =)

Oh, and I heard from people that you could only GET ONE SIGNATURE! And the 2 hr fan meeting was cut short to a 1 hr SIGNING EVENT! YES... Girls walked in and chose who they wanted (most of them were just ordered to queue up in some random line like the FTI one) and walked back out... The reaction of those girls was HILARIOUS!! Haha... Screaming when they came out ,'SO HENSEM!! OMG! Sangat hensem!!'... They just literally drop down and sit on the side and start gushing about them... ROFL...

Hehe... Reminds me abt the FTI event when one girl was like jumping up and down after meeting the boys... hehe...

Ahh... After 7pm, the doors were SHUT!! Yes, doesn't this remind us a whole lot abt te FTI fan meet? Not ALL of the ppl who purchased the CD got their sig as stated... Sad for them... Some fans came all the way from Thailand and Singapore just to get their siggies... AT least for the FTI you could see the boys but for this event you can't even catch a glimpse of them... only their pictures...

Oh well, plenty of ppl complaining abt the management...
I don't feel as disapponted as the 2AM event cuz at least I was there...

My assignments are finally piling up!

The first week of September is really a killer... I'll have to pass up 2 reports (medical microb & immuno), immuno presentation, tropical terrestrial mid sem test & medical microb mid sem test...
For now, I have weekly immuno reports, have to write up a preliminary report for next week's field trip, and plan my methods for my little research project at Mulu...

I'm caught in a chain of homework... not a pile... hah!

I seriously love twitter... Unfortunately my handphone can't say the same... HAH! What to do when lecturer is late for class, 'TWEET'... What to do when you're bored at home, 'TWEET'... How to update your online buddies when you're too lazy to blog? 'TWEEEEEEET'...

It's already been 4 weeks since I started my FINAL SEMESTER! minus summer school. Been slacking a lot! I already have 2 assignments and 1 mini-research project to work on... Goin online is my reward for finishing up 2 hw this week... I copied all of my med microb notes and typed out my immuno report... Now I have my med microb tute questions left and all my other assingments to finish... sighs...

Love this sem though... Fridays are free and my timetable is sooo much more relaxed this sem compared to last sem... Last sem I had abt 26 -28 hrs of classes a week and this sem it's only 19hrs!! Tuesdays and Wednesdays are the best cuz I have a 2 hrs break and we normally go out for good yummy lunchies... hehe... Still craving for my Yogur Berry eventhough we went last Wednesday =(

Anyways, I'm super lucky AGAIN!! This time I won a WATCH! Don't know how it looks like but I got a Casio G-shock watch... *yey*

Nette: Looks like I wasn't lucky enough to win the MTV tix but I'm pretty glad I didn't get them cuz the rumours abt the k-bands performing were rumours afterall... Sad... Can't wait for SS501 in Dec though!!

Collected sooooo many new music sheets and I'm really happy!! Hehe... I know my piano is... lol... Oh and I just watched Horton Hears a WHO! and Awake just now... I love Horton!! He is soooo cute =) Katie too! Hahaha... She's so cute in a weird way... lol...

Ooo... I've been getting lots of skincare and makeup and girly stuff lately... lol...
Something sad happened yesterday though... I was cleaning out my wardrobe and I dropped one vial of Laneige skincare sample... It's nowhere to be found!! I searched EVERYWHERE! The whole room, my cupboard, even in the dustbin... So sad! I was planning to try it after my skin 'behaves'... lol... it keeps 'erupting' now...

Well, I'm gonna pop by Biotherm before Friday to receive my FREE SAMPLE!! This time I'm gonna keep it in a small container or my paper bag (which has other samples and various masks) ROFL!

If you are Msia's 80s baby,read through this, we grew up watching Transformers, Thundercats, Woody Woodpecker, Chipmunks, Mickey Mouse, Jem, Mask, Ninja Turtles, Voltron, Baja Hitam,Ultraman n not forgettin POWER RANGERS, n BUGS BUNNY!!!and anderra yippa mice? :), McGyver ?

had to brush our teeth during recess at primary school? had to hold plastic cups, line up with your classmates side by side and start brushing our teeth at some open area... or maybe near some drain??

do you still remember that we had 'dentist' rooms where we had to have our teeths check?

not to forget our 'program minum susu' in primary school.. everybody is suppose to buy like cartons of milk that cost 30 cents.. and you would see everyone drinking it everyday...its d UHT milk...

the teachers who would want to punish us must use yellow rulers to hit us on our palms?? 1 metre length..

that a bowl of mihun soup or some soup only costed 50 cents at the school canteen...

went to some sundry shop near the school or to the 'roti' man waiting outside our schools so that we can buy junk food like chickedees, mamee, ding dang with some toys in it, 'Ti Kam', ice-cream and we would play games like monopoly, uno, old maid, and all other card games like that...

another fun time would be during Pendidikan Jasmani. the boys would play football while the girls would play netball... and it would be like we were playing in the world cup...

but of course. the best would be main guli, batu seremban, bottlecaps, ice-cream sticks, 'Pepsi Cola one-two-three', Cops and Robbers, main kejar-kejar duduk,getah... and for the not so active, those kind of 'book games' where we would use buku latihan to draw and ask our friends to play...

do you remember the ice-cream tubes which are actually ice and colouring that are sold for 10 to 20 cents.. the colourful ones.. where you usually bite off the top to glup it down.orange tastes b best..(pop-ice)

what about days when we felt like doing naughty things such as folding papers so small to make 'lastik' amd shoot each other... how about throwing chalks??

back then, micheal jackson was just turning white.. and still had albums coming out.. compared to CD's, we were listening to tapes that sold for RM9.90...

in computer class, we were still using black and white computer monitors...played 'Atari'... maybe SEGA or NINTENDO..

well, are we all getting older or what?
1) if you understand what you have read and you are smiling...
2) we have friends from school that are already married...
3) we shake our heads everytime we see high school students fussing about their handphones in school..
4) we don't hang on phone with our friends for hours a day talking about nothing...
5) when we meet back with our friends from time to time, we feel excited and happy talking about old times, the funny 'adventures' or stories that we experienced as a kid..
6) last but not least, that when you read this, you would think of all the happy & sad memories that you have experienced when you were still a kid and would think of forwarding this to your old friends that you have known since forever... i'm sure they would have a huge smile on their face after reading this.....

Instead of email-ing it to others, I decided to share it with everyone... Man I love this POST!! I still remember those days where me and my cousins would lock ourselves up in the 'playroom' and play all sorts of games! From masak masak to master master, to town, school, and many other stuff our minds could think of... Come to think of it, we were really creative! haha... Nowadays, kids are like glued to the computers, PS3 (no longer PS), Nintendo DS and the other chunted COLOURED versions...
Remember ice and fire? and that ring-a-ring a roses or something... hahaha... Teng Teng also was a favourite past time we played... I seriously missed the good old days...

When I was in primary school, Std 6, my class teacher was really strict with us. I still remember she used to punish us whenever we did mistakes in our tatabahasa and karangan formats... One funny event that I will never forget was when she gave us our first ulangkaji test in class for BM... After we finished our test she said,'Ok. Tambah semua markah. Ada sesiapa yang gagal?'... No one stood up because we nobody failed... Then she rephrased her sentence to ,' Makna gagal saya adalah markah bawah 80.' We were all shocked of course... Like 99% of the class stood up except for one boy. lol... All queued up in the front of the class and had to place our hands on the teacher's table where we were 'chopped' with the 1m yellow wooden ruler... It did hurt a lot! But thanks to her, I got an A in my finals! haha... Thanks Cikgu Hafizah... =)

Gosh! I feel so old now... swts... Met up with my cousins the other day and what did we talk over dinner at Delicious?? Well, our childhood! What we used to do to past time when we were younger... Oh!! I remember when we used to collect stickers and had sooo many sticker books to organise the different types of stickers... haha... We have the pasar malam kind, furry, shiny shiny, laser stickers, and etc... We would trade them, kind of like sistem barter...

Go and meet ur with whoever u used to spend your time with when you were young. It's so fun reminiscing about the good old days... It will leave you with a large smile on your face =)

YEY! I was about to buy Flora by Gucci perfume at Langkawi... Good thing I didn't... hehe... Saved over 200 bucks! Plus the Gucci perfume was only 75mL, I think... This CKIN2U is 100mL! Cool! The smell is quite refreshing... I'm not really into perfume though... The only perfumes I've ever used were frm Body Shop & this one bottle (given) from Crabtree & Evelyn... Hehe...

To top that, I have another great news! My timetable for next sem is WONDERFUL! ONLY 19 HOURS & NO CLASSES ON FRIDAYS! so far... touch wood

After the wedding, we went to きっさてん、a japanese cafe to have lunch... Very nice place and the food was not bad... Love the decor... hehe... After that, went to MMU for DAICON!! My very first anime con! Sad to say that I'm a bit disappointed... Mayb cuz I didn't know anyone except my sister and I know none of the characters were cosplaying (well 90% la)... I only know Mario n Lugia and that white robot from Star Wars... Lol... Here are some pics...

Langkawi trip~

Didn't take much pics from my recent holiday... If u followed me on twitter u would have know what I did... hehe... Anyways, this time we managed to go to Pulau Payar 'Marine Reserve'... Notice the inverted commas? Well, if u have been thr b4 you would understand...

Lack of management = dead corals
Lack of management = rubbish, rubbish and more rubbish!
Lack of management = Even more RUBBISH and more DEAD corals!!
Website claims that there are plenty of soft corals... Maybe in the deeper waters but not the ones near the beach...

Don't expect any live colourful ones... I found like 2 or 3 patches of small sea anemones thriving but mostly were either dead or rock corals... Plenty of fishes that will swim up to you... Note to self, do not stick finger into the water... The fishies WILL BITE you... No kidding... Water is turquiose and clear... During low tide, don't swim too far out cuz it's too shallow... I scraped my knee when I was 'gostan-ing' back... I tried to signal my sis to stop swimming towards the dead corals cuz it was too shallow but she kicked me with her flipper... swts... I was actually behind her but she thought I was far away... Had 3 fresh slightly bleeding wounds on my knee... Had to get out of the water FAST cuz got sharks... DON'T LAUGH! I was so scared, okay... Eventhough they were on the other beach (which was like less than 2 minutes walk away on foot), I was freaked out cuz they have super sensitive smell... can detect blood like miles away! or was it kms away... hah! but I was nt even 1km away from the sharks... so yea, I was so scared...

I'm missing the seafood and coconuts already! I miss the sea!! I miss living in the chalet and waking up in the morning listening to the wave crashing against the shores... I miss Langkawi! This time it was a very laid back holiday... Went to the marine park and the cable car only... Other days were spent lazing around the resort and driving downtown for yummy seafood and cheap chocolates...

I came back not only with chocolates but this time I came back with injuries! Lol... Scraped by corals, got whacked not only by my sister's flippers but also another guy's... Yes! I was snorkeling around and didn't notice that I was swimming into 2 ppl! Lol... The guy didn't notice but his sister did... Bang! and I have a bruise on my right hand... Not only that! Apparently I have a more 'matured' skin now according to the pharmacist... I came back with breakouts!! Not minor ones like 5 or 6 on the cheek but more than 10!! On my forehead, cheeks, and chin area!! OMG! Horrible!! First time having a major breakout! Visited the beautician today for a super painful extraction of those pesky pimples! OH! I cut my hair too!! hehe... I likey! Just tidied it up... snip snip here and there... nothing major...

Clear waters! Don't be fooled by the pic! I thought they were corals at first but when we were in the water, it was rocks, dead corals, and very very VERY few rock corals.

The rest were more or less 1m in length... These small ones, not too sure... Mayb around 1m...The small ones swam so close to the shore that I walked beside them... haha...
My dad was not aware that he was swimming right next to the 2m ones! Lol... He was so excited! hahaha...

Look who came back to visit us! The monkey! My mom was so smart to feed it rambutans and so it called 2 of its brother/sisters to join the feast... SCARY but cute!

One in five S. Korean actresses forced to have sex

ONE out of five South Korean actresses were forced to have sex with influential figures, according to a survey in which 183 artistes participated.

Sin Chew Daily reported that 35 (19.1%) said they had provided sexual services unwillingly or had friends who had done so.

Most of their “customers” were high-ranking executives of television stations, film directors, script writers, entertainment company owners, politicians and entrepreneurs.

The survey said 63 (34.4%) of the actresses had been asked to entertain the “powerful” men but not all did it. Those who refused were given smaller roles in dramas or movies while some were assaulted or threatened.

Forty-five of those interviewed said they were also asked to pay a certain sum of money to secure roles in films.

The survey – conducted by a union of South Korean entertainers – was sent to 2,000 artistes following the suicide of Jang Ja-yeon in March, but only the 183 responded.

The 26-year-old co-star of the popular Korean drama Boys Over Flowers, was said to have taken her own life after she could no longer bear the sexual abuse and exploitation.

Yes! In abt 12 hours I'll be gone! Going to Langkawi! Why the same place again? Well the last time I was there we missed out a lot of things because we were only there for a really short time... 5 days only... Now I'll be there for a WHOLE WEEK! Can really rest and relax... Will be bringing 3 new books with me, 1 new drama, & 2 new movies enjoy!!

The difference btwn the last time I went and now: I know more stuff! Haha... I'm packed with more knowledge about aquatic life... I really learnt a lot from my aquatic sub... I enjoyed the field trip, the microscopy work (mind u it was 5 weeks back-to-back), writing the report (took me almost 4 weeks to write?? result: 18 pages of sweat, blood, and backaches!), writing my research essays (there were 2), and of course the exam was fun! Can't wait for next semester... I think I've said this like a million times but yea, I'm going to say it again...

TERRESTRIAL BIOLOGY NEXT SEM!! I can't wait!! Hehe... Why? Cuz I'll be going on a MAJOR field trip to Mulu Cave in Sarawak... I haven't been to East Malaysia before (except when I was a baby which doesn't count because I don't remember anything abt that)...

Interesting facts abt the place:The Mulu National Park is one of Sarawak's greatest attractions. Mulu's major claim to fame is its spectacular limestone caves. The caves of Mulu command a long list of superlatives including the world's largest cave passage (the Deer Cave), the world's largest natural rock chamber (the Sarawak Chamber) and the Clearwater Cave, the longest cave system in South-East Asia.

The spacious Deer Cave at 1000 metres wide and 120 metres high can contain London's St Paul's Cathedral five times over. The 60 metres high "shower" continuously pouring from the roof near the "Garden of Eden" is one of the many spectacular views within the Cave.

The Sarawak Chamber can accommodate 40 Boeing 747 aircraft.

Yea. It has officially hit Malaysian shores! Now you can buy them at Watsons for as low as RM24.88 (discount price now) which is RM24.90 after rounding up... What's with the 88 cents? Anyways, Silkygirl has launched a new product called Magic BB Cream... Original price is RM29.90 (concealer sized tube) and comes in two shades. Swatched both of them but I didn't take a pic... Quite runny compared to my SF Sun Aloe BB Cream. Both shades were more or less the same... Almost the same consistency as the Skin79 Dream Girls BB Cream...

Now Watsons also carry another line, Natina, which sells 3 different types of BB Cream; BB Cream Pearl, BB Cream Light, BB Cream SPF36 PA++. Price: RM48.90-RM89.90. At these prices, I'd rather buy my Skinfood Aloe (RM54) or even a Skin79 BB Cream (prices range from RM65-RM80)... With 90 bucks can even get a BRTC BB cream... Nvr heard of Natina before... Only can be found at the Midvalley branch... Must go and take a look...

The Face Shop has a new BB Cream... To me it's new haha cuz I hardly step into the shop... It's Shimmering Blossom BB Cream if I'm not mistaken... Too glittery for me and quite runny... Coverage, not sure cuz the shop was dark... Only one shade? or two? Didn't check... Loved the smell though =)

Poor me have to be locked in my room so that I won't watch TV... But here I am, blogging... hahaha... Just a little update...

I finally watched a movie!! My first movie in 2 months?? 3 months?? The last one I watched was He's Just Not That Into You! It's funny! hehe...
I watched Gianna Jun in action yesterday! Blood: The Last Vampire... It's not gory except for the first scene where she slayed the man on the train... Other than that, it was ok... The CG was really blaaah... So fake! I'm sure Hollywood can do better than that... Reason I watched it was because of Gianna and Koyuki! hehe... The ending was really predictable... I knew Koyuki was going to say that... No spoilers here so don't worry... The show is sort of an extension of the anime according to anime fans (my sis n her fren)...

I agree with what the other people said abt this show... It's cool BUT when they open their mouths.... *burst out in laughter*
Some parts I couldn't even understand what Koyuki was saying... Lucky there were subtitles... Gianna was pretty good... Can understand what she said... She even spoke really well in Japanese... better than me! HAH!

Anyways, I had a taste of my Omu rice... It's like eating Nasi Pattaya... Not surprised... hehe... just wanted to eat it after watching SOME drama promoting this dish...
I really have to study!! My final paper is a killer one... Just for this paper alone we have to study 4 different modules - Haematology, Cytohistology, Parasitology & Clinical Chemistry... *sighs*
Tip from senior: Don't focus on Clinical Chem. Skip that if u have no time! hahah... Mayb I might if I'm desperate... lol...

Hehe... Super happy! I finally got to go out and SHOP!! Not for Mamee snack noodles or tidbits but for REAL STUFF that I need... =)

First stop was to SOGO to pick up my skin care stuff... I didn't know my skin type was combi-dry... all this while I thought it was combi-oily... hmmm... maybe that's why the previous skincare that I used dried my skin up...

[The toner bottle is HUGE!! The SA told me to get this cuz it's more 'tai'... Price for 200mL was around RM86? My banker also told me to get this]

I'm contemplating... hmmm... what shall I do?? Been using Clinique for 1 month adey... Overall, the effect is so so only... I still experience 'outbreaks' not breakouts here and there... hahaha... Outbreaks of acne vulgaris... lol... thanks to sleepless WEEKS! (not nights u know...) Haven't had a good night sleep since my easter break... Exception: today!! I have only one more assignment left!! Hehe... Slept for 11 hours? No I'm not a piggy, AUNTY!

Should I conitnue with Clinique?? My face looks cleaner n brighter I guess... That's what my mom said... but the pimples!! shouldn't it prevent them?? Then when I looked down, I saw Dr Cathy's fren, Coleoptera~~ They are haunting me!! I'm soryr that I killed your larvae but pls don't come after me...

It's metallic green! Really pretty... haha... normally I would just remove them without taking any pics... But after I studied so much about bugs (aquatic ones), I've learned to appreciate them! *swts*

No updates on my vox cuz of my crazy non-stop workload... Have to pass up at least 3 to 4 stuff each WEEK!! And worse of all is most of them are due either on Monday or Thursday... WHY NOT FRIDAY?? Yeeeesshhh... Been visiting uni 3 weeks in a row non-stop... Definitely a record for me... Today decided to stay home cuz it's Mother's Day!

p/s: I found some floating thingy in my gel... That floating thingy was actually the overflown DNA ladder... Go and google up what a DNA ladder is if you are curious cuz I ain't gonna explain it here... Yea... As u can see that from the 3rd to the 6th well, there were DNA in them... By right, only lane 4 was suppose to have the ladder but SOMEHOW, just SOMEHOW the other group loaded the ladder in the well and it overflowed and termasuk the other wells... Some of the ladder was out of the well and so it migrated ON TOP OF THE GEL instead of within the gel... Geezzz... Third year student osso dunno how to load sample... *swt*

Don't believe everything you get off the internet. Reasons why you should not believe this hoax are:
a) Bad English (I didn't know disaster was spelt as distaster. Was is suppose to be tasty??)
b) No credibility and reliable source (something I learned in university. No reliable source = not true)

I'm sure a scientist would know how to at least spell the word DISASTER if this person is working in the meteorology department.

Right. I suppose you are wondering what are my claims and what makes me think this is a hoax? Well, I have a reliable source, that's for sure

So it's really up to you to believe it.

What a way to start my Easter Break!!

I went for a concert... Well, it's not really a concert but a showcase...
=)

It was HOT HOT HOT!! (weather la... not the singer... lol) Venue, the cursed place aka Sunway Amphitheatre... Why is it cursed? Well the last 2 times, the concerts that were SUPPOSED to be held there were cancelled... Thank goodness it was not cancelled this time... Third time is a charm... hehe...

Arrived there late... Couldn't find parking... I guess people arrived there like at 11am!! Mind you, the concert only started at 3.30pm... It was suppose to start at 3pm... Better late then never... I arrived there with my mom at 2.30pm and the place was filled to the brim!! NO KIDDING! SEATS WERE ALL TAKEN except for the VIPs la... but was lucky enough to find some 'seats' on the sides where the money plants were... it's just right beside the seats...

Oh... I just realised I didn't tell you whose concert/showcase it was... =)

I took almost 100 pics altogether but deleted almost 20 of them cuz they were pretty much the same... Just him standing there singing...
Oh, for the opening act, this dude from Astro Talent Quest was dancing and singing... Seen him quite a few times on Wah Lai Toi... Then another guy from One In a Million was next... Apparently he 'escaped' from NS to perform... lol... That's what JJ and Ean said... They were the MCs... After that, Daniel Lee performed... Mom kept telling me how cute he still looked... We saw him a few years ago FACE to FACE! Haha... She still likes him... He was the most recognised person there (other than David)... He got the most applause compared to the other 2 performers...

THEN after like 30 or 40 minutes of performances and games, DAVID took the stage!! It was chaos man! My ears were almost going to pop! I mean, I could feel my camera bag vibrating!! It was THAT loud!! It didn't help that there was this girl behind me that kept shrieking! Must be a die hard fan... ^^

I snapped plenty of pics but I think I shall upload them to my photobucket account... Blogger is really slow at uploading pics... I also recorded 4 out of the 5 songs David sang... Not all of them though... Just short videos... Will upload them to by youtube... I recorded it with my 2MP h/p camera so don't expect HQ ones =)
